In 2017, in the Finnish city of Lohja, a group of women decided to create a community organisation to help migrant women and vulnerable groups. They were inspired by the power of unity and believed that every woman could help herself and others.

Femina ry also fights gender inequality, promotes human rights and the Finnish legal system, and provides information to help women organise their lives.
One of Femina Wry’s priorities is supporting women entrepreneurs. The organisation provides women with opportunities to learn entrepreneurial skills and helps them gain access to financial resources and markets.
