We are thrilled to announce that Femina ry has launched the project “Women’s Leadership in Health & Safety Education”, funded by the Erasmus+ programme (Short-term projects for mobility of learners and staff in adult education, KA122-ADU).

About the Project:
This initiative aims to strengthen our organisation’s capacity in integrating gender-sensitive approaches into health and safety education, developing digital learning tools, and fostering international collaboration.

Project Objectives:
1. Train our staff to integrate health and safety topics into leadership programmes, focusing on gender-specific workplace risks and inclusive learning strategies.
2. Equip staff with digital skills to create and implement remote learning courses, making education more accessible, especially for women from remote and vulnerable groups.
3. Build international partnerships with European organisations to exchange best practices in adult education, health & safety, and women’s empowerment.

Key Activities:
As part of the project, six staff members from Femina ry will participate in an intensive 8-day training course in Latvia. The hosting partner is SIA Macibu centrs “Komunäiceltnieks”, a leading vocational education institution with over 30 years of experience.

The training programme covers modules such as:
– Gender-specific health and safety risks.
– Creating safe and inclusive learning spaces.
– Using digital platforms and tools for remote education.
– Developing community-based safety training.
– Establishing European collaboration.

Expected Results:
– Development and implementation of new training modules combining leadership, health, and safety with a gender perspective.
– Enhanced digital literacy for both staff and learners.
– Establishment of a sustainable network for long-term cooperation.
– Creation of a scalable training model that can be adapted by other organisations.

Project Duration:
The project starts on 15 July 2025 and will run for 12 months.

We extend our gratitude to the Erasmus+ programme and the Finnish National Agency for Education (EDUFI) for their support and for enabling us to develop our competencies for a greater impact in our community.
