Project outcomes The Nordplus Adult Project “Together Towards a Green, Sustainable, and Digital Society in the North Baltic Region” ended on October 31, 2022.
This project aimed to increase the knowledge of young adults, teachers, NGO experts, and representatives of vulnerable groups about the UN SDGs in the context of a globalized world, as well as their ability to be agents of change and their participation in implementing greener and more sustainable lifestyles in their daily activities.
Feminar RY, in equal collaboration with other Nordic and Baltic partners, has been developing an educators toolkit for educators with ready-to-use methods on several of the 17 SDGs (the Sustainable Development Goals): Climate changes, gender equality and equal employment opportunities for all.
Feminar RY experts and adult learners (including vulnerable group representatives) actively participated in the project program and were happy to host the first workshop session/training in Helsinki, Finland.
As a first step, the partners established a network of teachers for the 17 SDCs in the Baltic and Scandinavian countries. We know our future responsibilities and essential role in addressing and promoting the SDGs. We are happy to be part of a thematic network dedicated to achieving the SDGs in the region.
The result of the project is the book. The book will introduce students and teachers to the current situation with the SDGs in the partner countries (Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia). The manual will include SDGs 4: Quality Education, 5: Gender Equality, 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, 10: Reducing Inequality, 13: Fighting Climate Change, and 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, as well as practical exercises to help the reader understand the SDGs.
We would especially like to thank project leader Vassili Golikov and his team from Estonia for their hard work.
