The main goal of international training is to provide constructive knowledge and skills on gender equality in the education system to ensure early intervention in the perpetuation of prejudices and stereotypes.

On the first international training we will improve youth and educators competences and gain new skills on gender equality, pay gap, equal treatment, family models, and gender roles questions and allow participants to be multipliers. Partners meeting we will the begging of development of Educational Toolkit and Web resource. Also and experts will have a discussion about impact of gender equality and equal treatment in policy making, social life and interrelation with formal, non-formal education and learning processes in relation with SDG themes.

Meeting will based on norm criticism, 4R and active participation methods and it’s dedicated for active young people & educators. Training will provide necessary basic skills and knowledge of students and educators on gender equality and discover link between power relations and norms. We will combine norm criticism with other tools and methods (GET, the Staircase Models, or the 4R). Also we will conduct a meeting of partners and experts who will work on development educational toolkit and web-resource as main practical outcome of the project.

Susanne Kallanvaara, graduated as upper secondary teacher at Göteborg University in Sweden in 1984 and has a vast experience of teaching all levels of Swedish for immigrants up to university level. Currently employed at Burgårdens Gymnasium in Göteborg.

Ivan Vassilivskikh has worked in international NGOs for the past years. He believes in an equal and inclusive society in every aspect of life.

Alejandra Cordero Hansen

Malin Gustavsson has worked for nine years as an expert on equality and diversity issues. She runs her own growing company called Ekvalita. Gustavsson’s passion for working in an interactive and pioneering way has made her a respected thinker, lecturer and process developer.

Tricia Cleland Silva, PhD, is a senior lecturer, writer, entrepreneur and mother of two. Her area of expertise is leadership, management and DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) with a special focus on women and girls. Over the last 15 years, she has taught courses on gender and continues to develop educational materials on inclusion and empowerment through storytelling. She recently co-authored a book “Making sense of work through collaborative storytelling: building narratives during organisational change” and gave a TEDx talk in 2021 about meaningful inclusion at work through stories.

Laura Rajala is an expert on human, women, and children rights. Laura helps people from disadvantaged areas and with complicated backgrounds, refugees, migrants, and people with special needs to care for their law and social problems. She organizes conference and experts meetings, runs workshops, training, seminars and information days.

Reet Laja work in the Estonian Women’s Studies and Resource Centre.
She has long-term experience in preparing strategies and development plans and analysis consulting, adult training and project management consulting. Application of the mentoring method in both the business and non – profit sectors. Consultation on work-life balance, reconciling work and family life, gender equality in companies, gender budgeting.

Barbi Pilvre is an Estonian journalist, lecturer and politician. She was a member of XII and XIII Riigikogu.

Vassili Golikov has worked with SSCW since 1995, coordinating many Youth and Children programmes on education for sustainable development and youth-led development and empowerment. He’s worked closely with various different governmental and non governmental organisations and international organisations to support youth working on intercultural issues.

Youth & Experts meetings will give an opportunity to systematise the bits and pieces of knowledge on gender-responsive education and facilitate process of establishing educational toolkit on gender equality a guidelines for the youth organisations and educational institutions.
During Youth and Experts meeting, the participants met together to continue developing educational gender journedy toolkit, discuss the results of workshops, develop web-ressource and concentrate on sharing existing resources and proposals for the International Conference. Additionally to that a separate education training part will be organised for youngsters.
